To meet the needs of some types of equipment, there are override switches . These are switches that perform the most common functions, for example: On/Off, Motor Reversal, Star Delta Starter, among others. They have a steel box and lid protection, protecting the key from contact with dust and other adverse weather conditions.
The override switch can be single-phase or three-phase, operated by a handle or lever, offering additional functions. To define which model to use, you must consider some information, such as: voltage, power and desired function.

The most common functions for the engine override switch are:
On-Off: Known as a direct start switch, this switch has the function of turning on and off an engine or electrical equipment. It can be found in a three-phase or single-phase version.
On-Off-On:Its function is similar to the On-Off switch, however, its on position can be operated both clockwise and counterclockwise. It can be found in a three-phase or single-phase version. Note: This model cannot be used as a selector, as it only comes from an input and output set.
Reverse: Its function, in addition to turning it on and off, also acts to reverse the direction of rotation of the engine. It can be found in a three-phase or single-phase version.
Reverser with Return: Its function is similar to the reverser, but it always returns to position “0” when releasing the handle. It is generally used in winches and forklifts. It can be found in a three-phase or single-phase version.
Tranf. Mains/Generator: Also known as manual transfer switch. It allows you to transfer power from the dealership to a generator or even connect two engines alternately.
Dual Voltage: Used in equipment that can operate on two service voltages 220/380V. This switch allows you to choose, depending on the availability of power, at which voltage the equipment will operate. It is generally used in refrigerated trucks.
Star-Delta: The function of the star-delta switch is to provide a “smoother” start for three-phase motors. In the star option, it is necessary to hold the lever in position, as it returns to position “0” for safety.
Dual Polarity: Used to control two-speed motors, where speed change is necessary in operation. Generally used in Dahlander type engines.
THS overlay switches have a steel structure for both the base and lid, with electrostatic painting providing greater resistance to bad weather and having the switch body developed in engineering polymers guaranteeing the operator greater safety in relation to electrical insulation.
